A Custom Cut for SL Green
In November of 2025, we produced a group of 20 custom models for SL Green centered on their 919 Third Avenue midtown office tower.
919 Third Avenue falls too far from the center of the standard NYC Model 10-G it appears on in our normal, 1:5000 scale grid. So we cut a custom six inch by six inch square centered on the address that also captures a number of noteworthy midtown landmarks.
The overall models were finished in copper, with 919 Third Avenue itself highlighted in silver.
Two of the twenty models were further customized with a second highlighted building -- the Bloomberg Tower at 731 Lexington Ave -- as Bloomberg rents additional office space at 919 Third Ave.
Opportunities for granular customization like this are one of the advantages to using additive fabrication for producing custom corporate (and personal) gifts.
